What Matters Most...

Another busy day of stats. I really am quite a nerd and enjoy statistics. The only drawback is learning excel at the same time. Today, after class, a few of us were able to get through a typical 4 hour statistics assignment. Throughout much of the process there were some cries of despair and threats towards computers. I tended to zone out during those times. Now, not to toot my horn (but I am going to), just as we were packing up after finally finishing, one member of the group commented, "I love how Alex remained calm this whole time, I guess having a daughter makes a difference." That statement struck me. I love statistics, but that is not what is important. My family matters most to me. They are the reason I am in school and am studying what I am. I want my wife and children to see me as a hard working, yet balanced man. I hope to be an example of patience and love to them. I am truly grateful to have the constant support of a great wife to get me through many stressful days. I realize now how lucky I am because a lot of my classmates are going through school on their own without help from a significant other.

  1. I am so glad to have married a hardworking man who is loving, patient and balanced. Thank you for keeping us the center of your life... because you are the center of mine:)
