Choose your own graduate adventure...

So as y'all may imagine, there is a lot of reading involved in graduate school. Last week, my management professor reminded us that he likes to introduce concepts in class and allow us to do our own outside research. He also recommends many good books for us to read. This is one thing I really like about graduate school. I am able to get the basics in class and be accountable for my own learning. The problem comes when I do not have enough time to do my own learning and read the articles assigned for class. Then I make choices. Do the articles look like ones that will aid my learning? More often than not, yes they do! I decided I need to make sure I have time each day to read what I want to in addition to my assigned readings. That way I get to decide what I learn and what interests me...I decide my graduate degree.
